Defending an employment Tribunal or health & safety prosecution can be costly enough, but having to cover compensatory awards as well can be devastating. That's why our advice is supported by a comprehensive indemnity, underwritten by a major insurance company.
Personnel Indemnity
In the unlikely event we were to lose at Tribunal, ELAS will cover compensatory awards - up to £100,000 per case and up to £1,000,000 in any one year, subject to terms and conditions.
Health & Safety Indemnity
In the unlikely event of a prosecution, we will provide up to £50,000 of the legal defence costs, subject to terms and conditions, which also allows for the provision of expert witness testimony.
