How do I apply for a CRB check?

ELAS ensures that the application process will be secure and accurate. We guarantee a prompt response from a team you can trust! The multi-step application process requires a number of actions. Rest assured that these actions will be verified by ELAS, as the Umbrella Body and that we will assist you through each phase of the application process. Our CRB team will provide the necessary guidance, contact details and reference numbers that may be needed during the application procedure.

The Paper Process

• Provide ELAS with details of the disclosure you require and your preferred method of payment
• The CRB provides ELAS with an application form
• Once your payment has been accepted, ELAS will issue the form to you for your applicant to complete.
• The applicant has to complete the form and provide ID documents
• You verify your employee’s identification and send us the signed and completed form with verified copies of their ID
• We provide employee telephone support regarding the CRB checks
• The official CRB check is then returned to the applicant and a copy goes to the employer

The Online Process

• An employer (on behalf of the employee) can apply for a CRB check via the ELAS CRB website.
• You will then be directed to an online application form to fill out and a payment method selected

  • Available ‘Vouchers’**

**Payment method applies to ELAS clients only

Please note, the CRB will not currently process Checks for individuals and the self-employed. Although, ISA Registration will be available for these groups in July 2010.
